Totems

The "Totem", "Bird", "Fetish" or "Block" is an expression of ones own personal spirit animal. 

It was the guardian or visionary of an individual and was placed on the flute to show respect and honor

toward that Spirit.   If you feel that special connection to a particular animal, you can

choose from the Fetishes below, or you may opt for a simple geometric or plain block totem.

Most Ghost Owl Flutes are fitted with an artistic "Salamander" fetish, unless otherwise requested.

Hawk:  The Medicine of perception, agility, the mind, focused and quick thinking

Heron:  The medicine of patience, precision and the gift of dance

Horse:  Found in all Four directions, Horse symbolizes the use and balance of Sacred Power

Loon:  The Medicine of Dreaming and awakening to Spirit

Mountain Lion or Panther:   The Medicine of Leadership, Balanced by the feminine aspect of creation

Otter:  The Medicine of playfulness, simplicity, and the inner child

Owl: The medicine of full wisdom seeing clearly in both worlds

Raven:  The Medicine of the Void, Healing, and the gift of seeing in both worlds

Salamanders:  The Medicine of Water and Earth

Swan:  The Medicine of Gracefulness, beauty, peace and serenity

Turtle:  The mother. earth connection, the home and the womb
